About The Author

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, M.Sc., Ph.D. and NET (ASRB) in Vegetable Science and presently working as Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale) in the Division of Vegetable Science, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology- Kashmir Shalimar Srinagar. Dr. Singh also served as Senior Research Fellow in Department of Vegetable Science, NDUAT Kumarganj Faizabad and Indian Institute of Vegetable Research Varanasi. He is specialized in the field of vegetable breeding, especially in Solanaceous (Tomato) and cucurbitaceous (Cucumber) vegetables. He has an excellent experience of 10 years in the field of Research and extension and 06 years experience in Teaching. As a Teacher in SKUAST-K he has taught more than 10 different courses to the student of Post graduate and doctorate classes, delivered several lectures in the training programmes on different topics related to vegetable sciences. As a prolific writer, he has published 06 book chapters 18 research paper, 70 abstracts, 15 review articles and 32 popular articles and 01 extension folders in books, journals and magazine of scientific repute and has written 02 book and guided students of M.Sc. He has also worked as paper reviewers in several national and International Societies and also an editorial member in National and International Journals. Dr. Singh is life member of several professional bodies and societies. Dr. Kouser Parveen Wani having a good academic career throughout first class in SKUAST-K and 10+2 examination. First class in B.Sc. Agriculture, M.Sc. and Ph.d. in Vegetable Science with minor vegetable breeding. She has taught plant breeding, Vegetable breeding to the post graduate students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Kashmir Shalimar from 2001-2015 almost 15 years she has three released hybrids and three vegetable varieties on pipeline for release purpose. She is also farm manager in vegetable seed production farm Suhama and involved all the divisional level assignment of vegetable science. She has guided 25 students of M.Sc. and Ph.d and more than 50 research paper, abstracts, review papers and articles.
