Since the existence of a man in this planet, foods have been imbued with all sorts of attributes beyond satisfying hunger and sustaining life. The nature has bestowed us with such foods which in addition to providing basic nutrition confer several health benefits and one such health benefit is stress-relieving. The World is progressing and lot of technological advancements has occurred which has made life comfortable. But the stress level of an individual ¡s increasing day-by-day which is of a concern. In this book, I attempted to present to the readers the basic aspects of stress, its physiology and most important and specifically the management with more emphasis on management of stress through diet. Almost all of stress-busting foods are discussed but yet may be some foods which might have been missed by me. The topics covered ¡n this book will provide people with new insight into an appreciation of the stress-busting foods. However, the information presented in this book is not set in stone. Some of the concepts are likely to change in the near or distant future as new knowledge comes to light.

About The Author

Tawheed Amin is presently doing PhD Food Technology from the Division of Post-Harvest Technology, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural i Sciences and Technology-Kashmir, Shalimar, Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir. He has done B. Tech Food Technology from the Department of Food Technology, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir. He did his M. Tech Food Technology from Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He is the recipient of Gold medal for being the topper in B. Tech and has also received the first rank holder certificate in M. Tech.He has also received Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Award” from Amity University, Sector 125, Noida Uttar Pradesh, for the academic year, 2012-2013. He has received a certificate for being nominated as Global Times Writer” (A Weekly News Paper of Amity University) for one year.He has also been conferred with Best Student-Male” award by the Department of Food Technology, Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir. Presently, he is also pursuing an online certificate course on Competition Law and Intellectual Property Rights (lPComp)’ from Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), India.He has qualified Agricultural Scientist’s Recruitment Board-National Eligibility Test (ASRB-NET). He is a member of Association of Food Scientist’s and Technologists of India. He has attended several national and international conferences, symposiums and workshops and presented posters. He has to his credit several national and international papers and popular articles. He has also to his credit one book titled as Membrane Processing in Food Industry” published by Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany.
