Mukesh Kumar, M.Sc., is an Assistant Professor-cum- Junior Scientist, Department of Seed Science and Technology (DSST), Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour (Bhagalpur), India. He had obtained his B.Sc (Agri.) in 2006 from JNKVV, Jabalpur (MP) and later on qualified JRF examination conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) with AIR 13th rank in Plant Science, and admitted in Master degree programme at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi in discipline of Seed Science and Technology. He has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) in discipline of Crop Improvement as well as in Seed Science and Technology, conducted by ICAR-ASRB; also qualify the CSIR NET in discipline of Life Science. Kumar is also an INSPIRE fellow awarded by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. kumar has also qualified various competitive examinations conducted at national level such as Assistant Seed Officer in National Seed Corporation, Agricultural Officers/IBPS exam., Preliminary examination of Civil Service conducted by UPSC and Mains (Upper Level) examination in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. Currently, he is involved in teaching of under-graduate and post-graduate students along with research and extension activities. Kumar has more than 12 research publications in reputed journals.
