The lychee (Litchi chinensis Sonn) an important sub-tropical evergreen fruit crop belonging to family Sapindaceae, is believed to have originated in China, where it has been grown in Southern Guangdong state for thousand of years. It is highly specific to climatic requirements and probably due to this reason its cultivation is restricted to few countries in the world. In India, lychee was introduced in the 18th century through Burma, and from there, it spread to many countries. Dr. Mohd. Suhail presently working as Scientist (Horticulture) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lakhimpur-Kheri (U.P.) of C.S.A.U.A. & T., Kanpur since 2001. He did his B.Sc. (Ag. & A.H) and M.Sc. in Horticulture from Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (U.P.) and got merit scholarship. He did Ph.D. from Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Faizabad (U.P.) and also received senior research fellowship from C.S.I.R., New Delhi and also qualified NET from ICAR. Thereafter, he joined as J.R.A. (Hort.) at Directorate of Horticulture, Lucknow (U.P.) during 1998-2001. He has more than 17 years experience to disseminate Scientific Technologies in the field of Horticulture and Agriculture. He published 20 research abstracts and 8 articles and 3 books namely Masala Faslo Ka Utpadan, Shak Bhaji Utpadan Tacneec and Jal Sanghran Kshetra Ke liye Tikao avam Unnat Krishi, 13 annual action plans and annual progress report of K.V.K. Besides he participated in various national and international seminars/symposia. He also organized awareness programme to enhance "Cultivation of litchi in trai region". Dr. Naushad Alam, presently working as Scientist (Agriculture Extension) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Fatehpur, C.S.A.U.A. & T., Kanpur from 2001. He did his B.Sc. (Ag. & A.H) from Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (U.P.) in 1997, M.Sc. (Agri. Extension) from A.A.I. Deemed University, Allahabad in 2000 and Ph.D. from M.C.G.V.V. Chitrakoot, Satna, M.P. in 2016. He has more than 17 years’ experience to disseminate Scientific Technologies in the field of Agriculture Extension and Agriculture. He has 20 research abstracts, 10 articles and one book in his credit. Besides he participated in national and international seminars/symposia. He also organized awareness programmes to enhanced agricultural income of the farmers. Dr. Mohd. Rajik  presently working as Senior Research Fellow (Plant Pathology) in All India Network Research Project in C.S. Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kalyanpur, Kanpur, U.P. He did his M.Sc. in Plant Pathology from NDUAT, Faizabad, U.P. and Ph.D (Plant Pathology) from CSAU, Kanpur, U.P. He has done good work on Litchi, banana and other fruits pathology. He has published more than 20 research publications including research papers, extension bulletins, research articles.
