The book “Advances in Scientific Interventions to Enhance Bovine Production” consists of 18 chapters. These are specialized chapters by experts in their respective fields. Most of chapters have undergone significant revisions and discussions with updated information and thereby enriched the knowledge. This book shall be equally useful to developing countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America where the problems and the situations of dairy production are similar. These newer developments need to be collected and synthesized and this small book is a humble effort in this direction. Research is of little use if its results are not disseminated and this book is a part of the strategy for dissemination and promotion of the research results. This publication is expected to provide useful source for all those who are interested.

Dr. A.R. Ahlawat, presently, working as Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding, College of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh (Gujarat) did his M.V.Sc. in Animal Gynecology and Reproduction from Veterinary College, Anand, Gujarat and Ph.D. in Animal Genetics and Breeding from Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh (Gujarat). He worked as Assistant Research Scientist in Cattle Breeding Farm, Junagadh Agricultural University. He has contributed around three chapters in different books and has published more than 30 research papers in National & International journals. Dr. V.B. Dongre, presently, working as Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Genetics and Breeding) in Cattle Breeding Farm, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Udgir Distt. Latur (Maharashtra) did his M.V.Sc. & Ph.D. in Animal Genetics and Breeding from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal (Haryana). He has experience working in National Dairy Development Board of India. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Genetics & Breeding, College of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh (Gujarat). He has published more than 35 research papers in National and International journals. Dr. G.S. Sonawane, presently, working as Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Genetics & Breeding) in Instructional Livestock Farm Complex, KNP College of Veterinary Science, Shirwal, Distt. Satara (Maharashtra) did his M.V.Sc. & Ph.D. in Animal Genetics and Breeding from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal (Haryana). He got ICAR- JRF and ICAR-SRF fellowship for M.V.Sc. and Ph.D., respectively. He worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Animal Genetics & Breeding, College of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh (Gujarat). He has published more than nine research papers in National & International journals with four radio talk and organizing many more farmer training programmes.
