They are among the most diverse groups of animals on the planet, including more than a million described species and representing more than half of all known living organisms. Insects may be found in nearly all environments, although only a small number of species reside in the oceans, a habitat dominated by another arthropod group, crustaceans. Prof. (Dr.) Vipin Masih Prasad is working as Professor and Head, Department of Horticulture, SHIATS, Allahabad. He completed his bachelor and master’s degree from Allahabad Agriculture Institute, Allahabad. Dr. Prasad completed his Ph.D. in Horticulture from Kanpur University Kanpur. He started his carrier as a Lecturer (ad hoc) from 23-3-1996 and joined Assistant Professor on 26-03-1997 at SHIATS, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. His field of specialization is Vegetable Science & Post Harvest Technology of Fruits and Vegetables. Dr. Prasad has long experiences (about 20 years) in Teaching/ Research & Extension work. He successfully guided 8 Ph.D. and 58 post-graduate students in their research. He received several awards and recognitions. Dr. Prasad has membership of different National and international societies and attended so many International/ National Symposia, conferences etc. He has published more than 30 research papers in different National and international Journals and author of a book. Prof. (Dr.) S.B. Lal is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and dean, school of forestry & environment of SHIATAS- Deemed to be university ( formerly Allahabad forestry and agro forestry. he has been holding many prestigious posts and servered the university in serveral capacity. he has obtain many awards & distinctions and published serveral publications including book, reports book chapter, research paper etc. prof. S.B. Lal has successfully implemented many government of India project funded by ministry of rural development, ministry of agriculture, ministry of science and technology and also many Uttar Pradesh state government projects. he has travelled several countries for presenting guest lectures, research paper and for training purpose. he has guided numerous Ph.D. and m.sc. students for their research works. Deepanshu is currently working as a Assistant Professor in Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology & Sciences, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, worked as a Junior Research Assistant in a project funded by UPCST and also attached to Horticulture department S.H.I.A.T.S. to take practical classes and has obtained B.Sc. Agriculture and M.Sc. (Ag) Horticulture vegetable science from S.H.I.A.T.S., Allahabad respectively, and have qualified NET exam ASRB in 2015 from vegetable science. Mr. Deepanshu has published one research paper, six articles, eight abstract and one lead paper.
