The diploma courses in animal husbandry have been introduced in almost all agriculture and veterinary universities of India including Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) institutions. This course is necessary to obtain skilled persons in the field of veterinary science and animal husbandry in order to help veterinary doctors and other technical professionals for quality services. In the area of animal husbandry and veterinary science there is lot of text for graduation but test book for diploma courses are few in number. This book will be helpful to the progressive farmers who want to know more about this science and want to become entrepreneur. Dr. Om Prakash Mishra born on 3rd January, 1961. He did his B.V.Sc. & AH from Ranchi Veterinary College in 1984. He did M.V.Sc and Ph.D in veterinary physiology and fellow of National Academy of Veterinary Science. He visited University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA for advance training. He guided so many research projects of ICAR as PI and COPI as well as post-graduate students. He has published more than 100 research papers in national and international journals and symposia. He stared his carrier as an Assistant Professor in 1988 from Indira Gandhi Agriculture University, Raipur and become Professor in 2003 at the age of 42 year. He was nodal offi cer of veterinary polytechnic in Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Viswavidylaya where he developed diploma course and veterinary polytechnic. He is external examiner of almost all agriculture and veterinary universities and a member of selection committee in several universities. Dr. Mishra is former Joint Secretary and life member of Society of Animal Physiologist of India (SAPI). Similarly, former Joint Secretary and life member of Indian Society for Study of Animal Reproduction (ISSAR) and Executive committee member of Indian Association of Animal Production (IAAP). Presently he is Professor & Head, Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, College of Veterinary Science & AH, Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Viswavidylaya, Durg. He organized several All India Conferences.
