About The Author
Dr. Devinder Sharma, working as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the Division of Entomology, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir, India. He did his Master degree in Entomology and Agricultural Zoology from Banaras Hindu University. He has completed his Ph.D (Ag.) in Entomology from SKUAST-Jammu. He is recipient of Binani Gold Medal, BHU Gold Medal Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Merit Certificate and Thakur Das Nicobai Kapoor Merit Scholarship during his study. He is member of various scientific societies and also associated with several journals as referee. He has over 30 national and international publications to his credit. He is author of two books besides having 25 book chapters in his credit. He has guided 5 PG students and working on three externally funded projects.
Dr. Hafeez Ahmad, is presently Prof. and Head, Division of Entomology, SKUAST-Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He did his Ph.D. in 1991 from N D University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad UP. He was awarded various fellowships during his study which includes ICAR Merit Scholarship (UG), University Fellowship in M.Sc. and Ph. D. (Ag.). His field of specialization is economic entomology and insecticide toxicology. He was also Principal Investigator on AICRP on wheat and barley, rice and also in All India Network Project on Pesticide residue funded by ICAR, New Delhi. He is actively engaged in teaching at UG and PG level and also in research and extension, which he is doing from last 26 years. He has guided five Ph.D. and nine M.Sc students as major advisor. He has been on the Advisory Committee as a member from minor/supporting subject/Dean’s nominee for more than 15 students. He has more than 50 publications to his credit which includes research papers in International and National Journals, and nine book chapters to his credit. He is active member of Entomological Society of India and Society of Plant Protection Sciences.
Dr. Suheel Ahmad Ganai, Sr. Research Fellow, Division of Entomology, SKUAST-Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He did his B.Sc. degree in Science with a first class from University of Kashmir in 2009. He did his Post Graduation and M.Phil. in Zoology (Entomology) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 2011 and 2013, respectively. Later he did his Ph.D. (Entomology) in 2016 from SKUAST-Jammu. He was awarded University Merit Fellowship during his Ph.D. His field of specialization is Integrated Pest Management. He has more than 10 publications to his credit which includes research papers, three extension chapters. He has also attended various conferences/seminars/symposia. He is active member of Entomological Society of India.
