About The Books

Soil is a vital resource, how it is maintained has the potential to enhance or deteriorate its quality. It is a complex ecosystem in which living microbes and plant roots covalently link mineral particles and organic materials into a dynamic structure that regulates water, air, and nutrient availability. Soil health is frequently used in an agricultural context to refer to the soil's ability to sustain agricultural output while also protecting natural resources. A healthy soil performs a variety of tasks that are beneficial to plant development, including nutrient cycling, biological pest control, and water and air supply management. These functions are influenced by the soil's interdependent physical, chemical, and biological qualities, the majority of which are susceptible to soil management approaches. By gaining a knowledge of how management techniques impact the soil processes that promote plant development and govern environmental quality, it is feasible to build a crop and soil management system that continuously improves and maintains soil health. This book outlines the benefits and applications of soil health management in detail. It elucidates the concepts and innovations and respective developments with respect to this field. It deals with soil health card, soil health improvement practices, physical properties and nutrient cycles, soil management for sustainable agriculture and cover crops. It also explores making and using composts for soil fertility, preventing and managing soil erosion and runoff, reducing tillage, irrigation and drainage, nutrient management and soil testing. The topics included in this book are of utmost significance and are bound to provide incredible insights to readers about soil health management. It strives to provide a fair idea about this discipline and to help develop a better understanding of the latest advances within this field. This book is a valuable source of reference for students, professionals and readers interested in acquiring knowledge about this field.
